Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is the government body which is responsible for attestation of documents and plays a key role in verifying the credibility of the documents. The MEA Attestation is mandatory for those who wish to migrate to a foreign country without any issues or hassles.

Embassy/Consular Attestation

Here the Embassy is the governing body which has the final say in permitting the use of documents in a particular country and is the final authority for verifying the documents. This is also known as Consular Attestation process.
